Cargotec to Supply Hatch Covers for 24 Container Ships

Cargotec’s MacGREGOR business area providing marine cargo handling solutions has received sizeable hatch cover orders from several shipyards during the second quarter. The orders include both the design and manufacturing of the hatch covers. The hatch covers will be delivered during 2007–2009 and the value of the orders totals approximately EUR 26 million.

The orders include hatch covers for nine container ships that will be built at the Aker shipyards in Germany. MacGREGOR will also design and deliver hatch covers for six container ships that will be built at the CSBC shipyard in Taiwan and for nine ships that will be built at the Szczecin shipyard in Poland. The container ships will be delivered for several shipowners in Europe and in Asia.
