Zepro tail lifts, a Kalmar reachstacker and a Kalmar electric forklift truck will also be on display.
An industry pioneer focusing on safety and utility
Since the very early years of the business, Hiab products have been renowned for their safety, productivity, and user-friendliness. Today, Hiab cranes are the forerunners in technological development, showing the way and setting the industry standards for load handling equipment. At the IAA exhibition, Cargotec will focus on safety and usability while maintaining its position as industry pioneer by introducing new safety features and a next generation version of the world-class control system for Hiab loader cranes.
The first to put the new Machinery Directive into practice
Cargotec is the first loader crane manufacturer to develop safety features complying with the new Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC) and the loader crane standard EN 12999:2009. Several new features and technological solutions compliant with the Machinery Directive have been designed for Hiab cranes, making them still more efficient and helping to avoid accidents. All of the technical solutions were selected with a focus on the crane users' needs. One of these new, innovative features is the Variable Stability Limit (VSL). Safety is further enhanced by a warning system with a control panel and remote control connections, warning lights flashing on the support legs, and an upgraded Operator Protection System (OPS).
The next generation of control systems
At IAA, Cargotec will unveil another major technological step in the development of loader cranes' control systems. Cargotec offers a wide variety of control systems for Hiab loader cranes: CLX, Duo, Pro, HiDuo, and HiPro. Each of these systems embodies the advanced technology, superb quality, and unrivalled reliability for which Hiab solutions are renowned. The HiPro system is the most advanced control system on the loader crane market today. It was originally introduced to the market in 2001. Now, almost a decade later, at IAA, Cargotec proudly presents a still more advanced version of this pioneering solution: the HiPro XSD - developed especially for small to mid-range cranes. The first crane out with the new system is the Hiab XS 111.
An international press conference will be held at our stand, no. E35 at the open-air site, on 22 September at 10:30 AM (CET).
