Hiab innovations and events at Bauma 2016: Experience the future of load handling with us!

07/04/2016

CARGOTEC CORPORATION, PRESS RELEASE, 7 APRIL 2016 AT 11 AM EEST

Hiab, part of Cargotec, will present its latest innovations in Bauma Exhibition in Munich, Germany on 11-17 April on stands FN.921/4 and FN 1024/1. Hiab will also host a press event to discover more about the future of load handling on Wednesday 13 April at 1 p.m. CEST. All product related press materials are available at bauma.hiab.com

Revolutionary HiVisionTM

At Bauma, Hiab will introduce HiVisionTM, which enables crane operation with virtual reality goggles. The new vision system allows safe and comfortable crane operation inside the truck cabin. A system with cameras on top of the forestry crane enables the operator to see the working area and operate the crane using Virtual Reality VR goggles - the HiVision(TM) 3D control system, which is unique in the industry. We welcome all visitors to see and experience the HiVisionTM system demonstrated on our stand!

Showcasing the latest product launches

In 2016, LOGLIFT and JONSERED forestry cranes celebrate their 50th and 55th anniversary in the market. The jubilees will celebrate throughout the year with several launches, HiVisionTM being one of them.

Also new features for existing forestry cranes will be launched: the renewed hydraulic pre-control gives controllability over of the crane movements resulting in smooth and flawless motions and high precision when driving the crane. New top seat, designed for ergonomic, comfortable and durable use in varying weather conditions, will also be brought to the market. Hose Protection Link (HPL) provides extra protection for hoses in the harsh environment of log handling and Safety PLUS system increases driver safety in a way that is compliant for the safety standards of the EU machinery directive. We also introduce cycle and hour counter that helps plan visits to the workshop when needed.

Hiab will present its biggest cranes HIAB X-HiPro 1058 and HIAB X-HiPro 858 together with the new member in the family of the big cranes: HIAB X-HiPro 558 is coming soon to the market but we welcome everyone to meet it already in Bauma. It is the strongest crane that can be mounted
on a three-axle truck and specifically designed for heavy and bulky loads. Also, the renewed HIAB T-Series cranes with recently launched HIAB T-009 and HIAB T-018 will be presented for the first time. The HIAB T-009 is the smallest powerhouse in the range while HIAB T-018 is popular for a variety of operations. HIAB XS 177K mid-range application crane, developed specifically for the German market, is also available for closer look on our stand.

MULTILIFT Optima, a smart hooklift designed for working with predictable loads on 3-axle trucks is having its premiere in Bauma. The new hooklift will significantly boost productivity through its fast operation cycles. We will also have on our stand the famous MULTILIFT Futura skiploader, which was launched in spring 2015 with success.

From Hiab's electrical solutions we will showcase MOFFETT E4 truck-mounted forklift with no emissions and silent operation. In the German qualifications of the World Crane Championships we will use the ePTO, which allows the loader crane to be powered electrically by a plug-in system, instead of the vehicle's engine. The crane is a state-of-the-art mid-range HIAB HiPro crane mounted on a Hiab branded truck that will be touring through most of the qualification rounds in Europe.
Using electric power instead of conventional diesel offers considerable benefits, including improved energy efficiency and lower noise levels which gives an opportunity to use it indoors.

At Bauma we also present our wide Services offering including Hiab original spare parts and Hiab ProCareTM concept.

Events at the Hiab stand

At the end of the Bauma week, on 15-16 April, Nordic motorcycle trials champion Eddie Karlsson will visit our stand to present his skills. On Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 April, Hiab stand will also feature the exciting German qualification round for the World Crane Championship 2016. The finals of the World Crane Championships will take place in September 2016 in IAA, Hanover, when the winner of the prize worth EUR 25,000 will be crowned.
