Cargotec's MacGREGOR business area providing marine cargo handling solutions has received a significant number of orders for ship cranes in October. Delivery of the cranes will take place in 2006-2008 and the value of the orders is altogether approximately EUR 14 million.
The orders include for example 12 ship cranes from the Chinese shipyard Xingang. The cranes will be delivered for the vessels of Swiss shipowner Enzian Shipping. The order is continuation for an order received earlier this year from the same shipowner.
US Navy has decided to realize their first option, and ordered two 40-tonne twin cranes for their upgrading program.
The Polish-Chinese shipowner Chipolbrok ordered 150-tonne twin ship cranes for three existing vessels. The vessels will be repaired to extend their operational lifetime.
The Singaporean shipowner PIL ordered two 45-tonne ship cranes. The cranes will be installed on container vessels to be built in Japan. The shipowner has a number of MacGREGOR crane products onboard its vessels. Also the Indonesian shipowner PT Pelayran Meratus ordered similar 45-tonne ship cranes for smaller container vessels.
