Cargotec's MacGREGOR business area providing marine cargo handling solutions has received a large number of ship crane orders during the first months of 2006. The cranes will be delivered during 2006-2008. The value of the orders exceeds EUR 15 million.
The orders include for example 15 GL-cranes to the Szczecin shipyard in Poland. These cranes will be manufactured in Poland.
Asian shipyards in China, Korea and Singapore have ordered over 40 cranes for container handling, hose handling, general cargo and service on various vessels.
Venezuelan company Cargoport has ordered four heavy-duty cranes for loading and unloading of iron ore.
Also the US Navy has decided to realize another option in their upgrading program and ordered two 40-tonne twin cranes.
