Cargotec's MacGREGOR business area providing marine cargo handling solutions has received RoRo access equipment orders for 10 vessels. The equipment will be delivered to different shipyards during 2006-2008 and the total value of the orders is approximately EUR 17 million.
The RoRo access equipment will be delivered among others for four of the world's largest Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) that will be built at the Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Co. Ltd (DSME) Koje shipyard in Korea. These vessels can carry 8,000 vehicles. RoRo equipment will be delivered also for three smaller PCTCs that will be built at the Croatian shipyard, 3 Maj. In addition, equipment will be delivered for three coastal RoRo ships that will be modified to increase their car carrying capacity.
