Kalmar, the business area providing container handling solutions within Cargotec, has received several orders for a total of 13 E-one RTGs (rubber-tyred gantry cranes) from South America. For a Peruvian Neptunia SA operator Kalmar will deliver two RTGs and for Terminal Pacifico Sur Valparaiso in Chile Kalmar will deliver six RTGs. Five RTGs will be delivered for the Port of Trinidad and Tobago.
The RTGs will be equipped with Kalmar Smartrail® - automatic steering and container position verification system. Most of the RTGs will also be equipped with remote maintenance and monitoring (RMI) systems. The RTGs will be delivered by the end of 2007. The unit prices for RTGs vary between EUR 1-1.5 million.
