Cargotec's Annual General Meeting: Review by President and CEO Carl-Gustaf Bergström

In Cargotec Corporation's Annual General Meeting starting at 2.00 p.m. today President and CEO Carl-Gustaf Bergström will in his review state that Cargotec's outlook disclosed in conjunction with the financial statements on January 31, 2006 is still valid. "The market situation has continued good as we estimated earlier. Order intake has been strong, which is also evidenced by the couple of important, large orders received and disclosed since the beginning of the year," President and CEO Bergström states.

 

President and CEO Bergström notes he is very pleased with Cargotec's successful start as an independent company. "The positive development in 2005 reflects the immense work done within the organization for the past couple of years. It has been a privilege to be part of this success. My successor Mikael Mäkinen brings strong know-how, experience and enthusiasm to take the business forward. I am confident of the future of Cargotec and wish to thank all our owners for their interest in the Company," Carl-Gustaf Bergström concludes.
