Cargotec Receives RoRo Equipment Orders from Different Ship Yards

Cargotec's MacGREGOR business area providing marine cargo handling solutions has received significant RoRo access equipment orders from different ship yards. MacGREGOR will deliver cargo handling equipment for RoPax ferries and for Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) that enable vehicle access to the vessels and their transfer within the vessels. The equipment will be delivered during 2007-2009 and the total value of the orders is approximately EUR 19 million.
 
MacGREGOR will deliver RoRo equipment for Aker Yards Germany who is building the world's two largest RoPax ferries. The order includes design, fabrication and installation of 800 tonnes of RoRo equipment and is one of the biggest single contracts taken by MacGREGOR's RoRo division.
 
Japanese Kyokuyo Shipyard Corporation has ordered RoRo solutions for four PCTCs. The delivered RoRo equipment comprises of different ramps and hoistable car deck panels. All the equipment inside the vessels will be operated by electric drive which is an environmental friendly solution for operation.
 
In addition to these, MacGREGOR will deliver RoRo equipment for two double-ended ferries built by the Croatian yard Brodogradiliste Kraljevica dd.
