Cargotec's MacGREGOR business area providing marine cargo handling solutions has received an order for 8 heavy-lift ship cranes and 8 standard ship cranes from Chinese shipyard COSCO Dalian. In addition, MacGREGOR will deliver design and key components for folding and lift-away hatch covers ordered by COSCO Dalian. The ship cranes and hatch covers will be delivered during 2008-2009 for four Chipolbrok vessels and the value of the order is approximately EUR 16 million.
The ship cranes will be manufactured at MacGREGOR's partner plant Nanjing Lüzhou Machine Works in China. The lifting capacity of the cranes in team mode is 640 tonnes to 16 meters and the cranes will be equipped with auxiliary hoist winches to maximise container handling rates.
