Cargotec Shares Subscribed with Option Rights

A total number of 5,100 new class B shares have been subscribed with Cargotec option rights that were granted as part of the demerged Kone Corporation's year 2004 option program. The amount of 2005B option rights used for share subscription was 1,700. The subscriptions increase Cargotec's share capital by EUR 5,100. The share capital increase has been entered in the trade register on December 30, 2008 and trading in the shares together with the old shares will begin on January 2, 2009.
 
Cargotec's share capital after the increase totals EUR 64,304,280. The amount of class B shares after the subscription is 54,778,191 shares. The number of class A shares remains unchanged at 9,526,089 shares. The new shares will entitle to all shareholder rights from the registration date December 30, 2008.
 
Each Cargotec option right entitles the holder to subscribe for three Cargotec class B shares. The share subscription price according to the terms of the option program is EUR 8.59 per share. The share subscription period with 2005B option rights lasts until March 31, 2009 and 104,730 shares remain to be subscribed for with them.
