On Wednesday, 5th December, MacGREGOR signed orders for elevators for Chinese Navy newbuildings at the Marintec China exhibition in Shanghai

Two ships on order for the Chinese Navy one at Hudong/Zhonghua Shipyard, the other at Guangzhou Shipyard will be supplied with elevators from MacGREGOR. Each shipset will comprise 2 elevators, with doors and frames incorporated in the elevator trunks. MacGREGOR will supply complete equipment delivery for the ships, which are due for delivery in September 2004.

Elevators form part of a diverse MacGREGOR portfolio for naval logistics ships and auxiliary naval tonnage, including bow and stern ramps, hoistable internal ramps, hatch covers and magazine doors. Numerous references have been earned from installations supplied to world navies and support fleets.
