Hiab Loglift and Jonsered forestry cranes get new control system with integrated weighing and faster troubleshooting
21/08/2012
CARGOTEC CORPORATION, TRADE PRESS RELEASE 21 AUGUST 2012 AT 16 P.M. EEST
Cargotec will present its new TimberTronics control system developed for Hiab Loglift and Hiab Jonsered forestry cranes at Elmia Lastbil 2012. The control system is an integral part of the new Hiab cabin C912, which will also be launched at Elmia.
TimberTronics brings a number of improvements for those who opt for electronic control. One new feature is the ability to adjust the various hydraulic actions to operators' own driving style. For example, the operator can reduce the initial slewing rate or choose whether the booms are extended faster than they are retracted. Adjustments are made with a few key presses on the display mounted in the cabin. Settings can also be saved, so the operator can quickly select his own operator profile, which is a big advantage if several operators use a crane.
Another new feature is that TimberTronics makes it possible to troubleshoot the crane. If a problem arises the service staff simply plug in a PC and run the fault diagnosis software. The control system now also provides integrated weighing, so the operator can see how heavy load is being handled at any time.
The control valve inlet also has an integrated selector for fixed or variable displacement pumps, which makes it easy to use the crane on a variety of vehicles.
You can see TimberTronics and the new Hiab cabin C912 on the Cargotec stand, U:510, in the same location as last year. The fair takes place in Jönköping, Sweden, on 22-25 August.
