Stock Exchange Release, March 31, 2006 at 9:15 a.m.

Kalmar, the business area providing container handling solutions within Cargotec, has received an order for 24 straddle carriers from the Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ). The order also includes six empty container handlers. The deliveries to Kingston Container Terminal will start in April and continue until July 2006.

The Kingston Container Terminal handles approximately one million TEU yearly (TEU is a 20 ft container). The annual volume growth of containers handled in the terminal has averaged 10 percent. The 4-high straddle carriers ordered to the terminal enable efficient usage of the terminal area. Kalmar and PAJ have worked in cooperation since 1986.

Unit prices for straddle carriers vary between EUR 700,000 - 900,000.
