Cargotec appoints Lennart Brelin as Executive Vice President, Americas

CARGOTEC CORPORATION STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 31 AUGUST, 2009 at 2.30 PM EEST

Cargotec announced on 14 August 2009 of renaming and merging Hiab and Kalmar business areas. As a result of the merger, Cargotec will form two business areas: Marine, which comprises current MacGregor business area, and Industrial and Terminal, which comprises current Hiab and Kalmar business areas. 

Following this change Cargotec has appointed a new member to its Executive Board to head the Industrial and Terminal business in the Americas region. Lennart Brelin (59; MA in Business Marketing) has been appointed Executive Vice President, Americas as of 1 October 2009. Lennart Brelin has worked for Cargotec for over 20 years, currently as Senior Vice President, Hiab Americas region.

The new Industrial and Terminal organisation will be further developed and become operational during the last quarter of 2009. Until that the current business area structure with Hiab and Kalmar as separate business areas will be in place. External financial reporting will continue unchanged through 2009.
