Cargotec Appoints Soili Mäkinen as Chief Information Officer

Cargotec has appointed Soili Mäkinen (46) as Chief Information Officer (CIO). She will be responsible for the corporate global IT strategy and development of common business support and control systems as well as the global IT infrastructure.
 
Soili Mäkinen, M.Sc. (Econ.), is currently Chief Information Officer of Cargotec's MacGREGOR business area. She has worked for MacGREGOR since 1993.
 
"A more unified IT than previously is an important element in our strategy implementation. Soili Mäkinen has strong experience in developing and implementing business support systems in a global environment," states Cargotec's Senior Executive Vice President and CFO Kari Heinistö.
 
Soili Mäkinen will report to Cargotec's Senior Executive Vice President and CFO Kari Heinistö. The appointment takes effect on December 1, 2006. The photo and CV of Soili Mäkinen are available on Cargotec's web pages at www.cargotec.com.
