Property Portfolio Director

Cargotec is looking for a Property Portfolio Director to join the Corporate Real Estate team. This position is based in Cargotec’s office in Helsinki. The positions requires extensive travelling.

As Property Portfolio Director you will be responsible for the alignment of real estate strategy with business strategies in liaison with key business stakeholders. You will be accountable for transaction services management serving as a point of contact to internal stakeholders as well as to external real estate service provider(s). You will be responsible for overall transaction management of the real estate portfolio as it relates to leasing, development, acquisition, subleasing and disposal of space. Development of Workplace strategies and assuring the standards are implemented globally are part of the role. You will provide property portfolio financial modelling scenarios to enable functional, flexible and cost-effective properties in support of business objectives. You will also be responsible for regional city strategies and related synergy plans.

We expect you to have a Master’s degree in engineering, real estate and facilities management or equivalent and at least 8 years of experience in international real estate management and workplace planning. You should have knowledge of real estate, workplace, financial and other performance metrics, including productivity measurement. Relationship management expertise, particularly with external providers; an ability to set clear objectives and performance management systems is highly appreciated. You should also have experience in developing and managing collaboration solutions and relationships with real estate agencies.

To succeed in this position you should be highly independent and self directed. You should have strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills and ability to work and drive change in matrix organisation. Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
